Student Solutions - AP Statistics
This page is for students to post their solutions and discuss each others work. The solutions that students post on this page may not all be correct. I will not post any corrections on this page. Nonetheless, attempting to arrive at the correct solution is a great journey.
Misleading Graphs Alix:
-This bar graph is misleading because there are no axes. The scale is being omitted, and therefore it is hard to compare the different statistics. I know that the percentages are given, but how do we know that the bar graph represents, 90% for example, when there is no 100% to compare it to??? (This is from Military Officer, the September 2007 edition, pg 45)
- This is Adam confirming that I am able to use the wiki. I should have a misleading graph soon.
-This is a misleading graph produced by CNN. It leads the viewer to believe that there is an overwhelmingly large difference between the way Democrats and Republicans voted on this question, when in actuality the difference was only by 8%.
File Not Found
Adam: This data set is misleading because although the median sale dropped the others could have increased more. That is why showing the mean is as well would be a good idea.
